THREE weather systems – the northeasterly surface wind flow, shear line and localized thunderstorms – are affecting most parts of Luzon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Thursday.
Weather specialist Patrick del Mundo said that the shear line, where the cold and hot air converge, will bring overcast skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms in Quezon, Rizal, Laguna and Camarines Norte
Meanwhile, the northeasterly surface wind flow or the wind coming from the north-east that brings mild temperatures, is affecting Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Apayao, Kalinga and Aurora where cloudy skies with rains will prevail, Pagasa said in its 5 a.m. advisory.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms.Meanwhile, Visayas and Mindanao will have isolated downpour and thunderstorms in the afternoon or at night.
