MANILA, Philippines — The southwest monsoon, or habagat, will continue to bring rain to parts of Luzon and Visayas on Monday and will persist until Wednesday, according to the state weather bureau.
In the 5 a.m. weather forecast of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), weather specialist Aldzcar Aurelio said that Tropical Storm Pilandok (international name: Krovanh) is enhancing the habagat. However, he noted that Pilandok has a low chance of reentering the Philippine area of responsibility.
“Paminsan-minsang pag-ulan ang inaasahan sa mga lalawigan ng Zambales, Bataan, Batangas, Occidental Mindoro,” Aurelio shared.

Based on the 24-hour rainfall forecast, a significant amount of rainfall (50 to 100 millimeters) will prevail over the above mentioned areas. Pagasa then warned of possible localized flooding in urbanized and low-lying areas and landslides in highly susceptible areas.
Aurelio also said that Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, Abra, Benguet, rest of Central Luzon, Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon), and Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, and Palawan) will experience cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms.
The rest of Luzon will see fair weather with chances of isolated rainshowers due to thunderstorms due to habagat.
The habagat will also bring cloudy skies and scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Antique while the rest of Visayas and Mindanao will see cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to thunderstorms.
No gale warning is raised in any seaboards of the country.
