MANILA – Vice President Sara Duterte on Friday led the nationwide simultaneous distribution of “PagbaBAGo” bags to alleviate the impacts of financial challenges among Filipinos by providing basic school needs.

In a statement, the Office of the Vice President (OVP) said at least 3,500 bags were given to Grade 1 to Grade 4 learners nationwide.

Each “PagbaBAGo” bag contains two notebooks, two pens, three pencils, a box of crayons, a sharpener, an eraser, a ruler, a plastic envelope, a raincoat, a bag tag, resealable plastic and dental kits, a toothbrush, and toothpaste.

“Vice President Sara Duterte personally graced and led Friday’s distribution of ‘PagbaBAGo’ bags at the Ma’had Norol Yaqeen Litahfidil Qur’an (Madrasah School) in Caloocan City,” the OVP said.

Besides the Madrasah school in Caloocan, distribution was also held in 16 other elementary public schools in various provinces with the help of the OVP’s 10 satellite offices

Based on OVP’s accomplishment report in July, around 200,000 bags were distributed from May 2023 to April 2024. (PNA)
