DOH COVID-19 TRACKER DATA/ JULY 28, 2022

The country’s number of active Covid-19 cases is now nearly 30,000 after more than 3,000 new cases were recorded on Thursday, July 28.

Based on the Department of Health’s (DOH) Covid-19 tracker, another 3,858 new infections were logged, bringing the active cases nationwide to 29,897.

Metro Manila remains to have the most number of new coronavirus cases in the recent two weeks with 13,135. It was followed by Calabarzon with 8,504; Central Luzon with 3,923; Western Visayas with 2,465; and Central Visayas with 1,526.

Earlier, the DOH reported that Metro Manila is under the moderate risk classification for Covid-19. However, its healthcare utilization rate remains at low risk.

The Philippines also is still under the low-risk case classification despite the continued increase in cases.

At present, the country’s cumulative tally of Covid-19 cases is at 3,764,346, wherein 3,673,745 have recovered, while 60,704 died.
