Metro Manila, Philippines— The first week of 2023 will likely be met with another round of fuel price hikes.

According to a Unioil forecast on Saturday, diesel will increase by ₱2.30 to ₱2.50 per liter while gasoline will go up around ₱2.50 to ₱2.70 per liter in the week of Jan. 3 to Jan. 9.

Pump prices also increased in the past Christmas week.

The Department of Energy’s latest oil price monitor as of Dec. 28 reported a net year-to-date increase of P14.90/liter for gasoline, P27.30/liter for diesel, and P21.30/liter for kerosene.
