MANILA, Philippines — Northeasterly winds and the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) will continue to bring rain to most parts of the country on Thursday, according to the state weather bureau.
In the 5 a.m. weather forecast of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration, weather specialist Chenel Dominguez said that the northeasterly wind flow will affect Northern and Central Luzon, while the ITCZ will prevail over Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao.
(Expect rains over Quezon, Bicol Region. Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains are expected over Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon.)
She also said that Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will see fair weather conditions with chances of localized thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening.
Meanwhile, Dominguez warned the residents of possible hazards brought by continuous rains due to ITCZ over Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao.
(We advise our fellow citizens to take precautionary measures due to possible flooding and landslides.)
She then noted that no gale warning is raised in any seaboards of the country.
