Motorists will have to pay more for petroleum products starting Tuesday, as fuel retailers on Monday announced another round of pump price hikes to mark the second straight week of upward adjustments for gasoline.
In separate advisories, Chevron Philippines Inc. (Caltex), Seaoil Philippines Corp., and Shell Pilipinas Corp. said they will increase prices per liter of gasoline by P0.70, diesel by P0.50, and kerosene by P0.30.
Cleanfuel and Petro Gazz will implement the same changes, excluding kerosene which they do not carry.
The adjustments will take effect at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, August 26, for all the firms except for Cleanfuel which will adjust prices at 4:01 p.m. the same day.
Other firms have yet to make similar announcements for the week.
The Department of Energy – Oil Industry Management Bureau (DOE-OIMB) earlier projected price hikes for this week, citing the four-day trading in the Mean of Platts Singapore (MOPS), and developments in the international oil market.
Firms last week hiked prices per liter of gasoline by P0.60, diesel by P0.80, and kerosene by P0.90.
Year-to-date adjustments stood at a net increase of P10.80 per liter for gasoline, P12.75 per liter for diesel, and P2.65 per liter for kerosene as of August 12, 2025. —KG, GMA Integrated News
