P68 million shabu seized in Cavite

MANILA, Philippines — Shabu with an estimated street value of P68 million was seized by anti-narcotics agents during a sting in Bacoor, Cavite on Monday night.

The sting conducted by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) at the Heritage Tree Nature Park in Barangay Molino IV also resulted in the arrest of three drug suspects.

PDEA chief Isagani Nerez said the suspects, identified only as Mohammad, Michael and Marie, sold 750 grams of shabu to PDEA undercover agents.

During body-frisking, the suspects yielded another 9.3 kilos of shabu.

Aside from the illegal substance, the agents seized the suspects’ Nissan Terra and Toyota Avanza as well as their phones.

Charges for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the suspects, the PDEA said.
