The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) also notified the public through short message service or SMS, advising them to wait for the next advisories.

A minor phreatic eruption event, which lasted for six minutes, was likewise reported in Taal Volcano on Nov. 30, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology.

Phreatic eruptions are steam-driven explosions that occur when water beneath the ground or on the surface is heated by magma, lava, hot rocks, or new volcanic deposits.
