Metro Manila, Philippines— Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim arrived in the Philippines on Wednesday for a two-day official visit.
Anwar’s plane landed at the Villamor Air Base in Pasay City past noon.
He is the first head of government to visit the Philippines since President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. took office last year.
The two leaders are set to meet in the afternoon for a bilateral meeting.
They are expected to tackle various areas of partnership, including political, security, and economic cooperation.
